Man charged with robbery

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 6 a.m. yesterday morning, a man attended the lobby of a local hotel and pushed an employee while stealing food and drinks.

The woman was not physically injured.

Officers located the man a short distance away and he was arrested.

The 25-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with robbery and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with assault

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, police responded to the report of a man and woman arguing outside.

Through investigation, police learned that the man assaulted the woman.

The 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault.

He was released pending a future court date of August 14, 2020.

Man charged with domestic related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a disturbance at an apartment in Wallaceburg between a man and his ex-wife.

Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation and that this was not the first incident of domestic violence between the pair.

The 59-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with forcible confinement, two counts of uttering threats and two counts of assault.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with assault

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Tilbury.

The 21-year-old Belle River man was arrested and charged with assaulting his girlfriend.

He was released pending a future court date of September 1, 2020.

Road rage incident leads to charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, a man was driving behind another vehicle on Gregory Drive in Chatham.

The man began honking his horn as the vehicle was driving slowly.

As the vehicle pulled into a driveway, the man stopped and assaulted the driver.

The man returned to his vehicle and fled the area.

Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and he was arrested.

A 24-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault.

He was released pending a future court date of September 1, 2020.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police located a woman in Chatham who was wanted for fraud related offences and failing to attend court.

A 26-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and released pending a future court date of August 13, 2020.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning, police responded to a disturbance in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police located a man who was wanted for breaching his Probation Order.

A 54-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and released pending a future court date.

Theft of trailer in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Thursday at 7 a.m. unknown suspects forced their way into a locked compound at RONA at Colborne Street causing about $150 damage.

Once inside, the suspects stole a 2018 Stirling 60-084-TTL silver flatbed trailer.

The trailer was not plated.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1,800.
