BorderFest postponed until 2021

Special to the Sydenham Current

From the beginning, the Sarnia-Lambton Bluewater BorderFest Music Festival presented by Carpenters Union Local 1256 has always been, and will always be about our community.

Your support of our not for profit and local independent music festival not only creates nearly 3 million dollars economic impact to support local jobs and revenue to the local community businesses of Sarnia-Lambton, it also helps to support several Sarnia-Lambton community organizations and charities.

Over the last several weeks as we monitored the current COVID-19 pandemic, our considerations have been centered on the safety and well being of our patrons, vendors, partners, and the Sarnia-Lambton community.

We have worked with many partners in hopes that we would be able to bring Sarnia-Lambton an enjoyable Music Festival that is very much deserved during these times.

Unfortunately due to the global pandemic COVID-19, and as directed by the Provincial mandates, we are regretfully unable to host this year’s event. Don’t worry! This is only a postponement! We will be back June 24th to the 26th, 2021 and we will even try to have a little extra in store for you.

We can not thank you enough for being the loyal and passionate music fans that you are in the Sarnia-Lambton community, and there’s nothing we want more than to bring you a summer kick off music festival that songs and memories are made of, especially now when it feels so needed.

As we start looking ahead toward making Bluewater BorderFest 2021 the festival you deserve, our goal is to do everything we can to bring you a great line up next year. We are very excited to announce Our Lady Peace and Finger Eleven are rescheduled to perform on Saturday, June 26th, while Randy Houser and Morgan Evans have been rescheduled to perform on Thursday, June 24th. On Friday June 25th we expect to announce the artists later this summer.
