Agnes Maria Verstraeten, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of 96.
Agnes was the daughter of the late Johannes & Martha (Picavet) de Smit.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband John Verstraeten March 11, 2010.
Loving mother of Sonja Aarssen and the late Joseph and Adrian Verstraeten.
Agnes was also a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother.
Sister of the late Maria Malgo-de Smit, Josephus, Gerard, and George de Smit.
Agnes was a faithful member of Holy Family Church and the Catholic Women’s League and she loved to bake, knit, crochet and sew.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Family Church on Thursday, July 2 at 1 PM.
Visiting will be at the church from 11:30 – 1 PM Thursday.
Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
