Neighbours are being credited for assisting, after a fire broke out at a home on Pearl Street in Tilbury on Saturday, July 4.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege the siding of a house was observed to be on fire.
“This was extinguished by neighbours,” police officials said in a press release.
“Quick actions by the neighbours prevented major damage to the home.”
Damage is pegged at $500.
Police say there is nothing suspicious with the cause of the fire.
