A Chatham man has been charged with weapons dangerous after an incident on Thursday night.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege officers responded to a report of a man in possession of a handgun outside of a residence in Chatham.
“Officers flooded the area and located the man in possession of an imitation firearm,” police officials allege.
A 34-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was released pending a future court date of August 7, 2020.
