Mark Austin Pacing Series, Ken Houston Memorial, radio broadcast at Dresden Raceway

The $16,200 final of the Mark Austin Pacing Series headlines a great card of racing today, Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Dresden Raceway.

The series honours former trainer, Mark Austin, who started at Dresden and claimed fame by breaking A Worthy Lad as well as building a stable with horses that competed at Woodbine and other top tracks in North America.

Dreaming Out Loud has been undefeated this year at Dresden including winning an OSS Prospect Series race and two legs of the Austin Series and will be the favourite on Sunday from post six.

The three-year-old Thinking Out Loud colt will have some stiff competition this week as Acefortyfour Dome has returned to Dresden for the final and Macharita has drawn the rail.

Acefortyfour Dome, a three-year-old Up The Creek Filly, will score from post seven and has won four of five this year including one division of the Austin Series.

Six-year-old Mach Three mare, Macharita, has drawn the rail and has a first and third in the series.

Zeke The Freak will scores from the two whole, Mr Cheeseman starts from post three, Coin Flip from post four while AJKnight scores from post five and Mached Up is the trailer from post eight.

Sunday also features the Ken Houston Memorial Pace that will honour former NHL player and horse owner, Ken Houston, who died in 2018.

HPI will be offering a 3% cashback on wagers over $40 at Dresden Raceway this Sunday.

Race fans, who are not allowed at the track, but will be watching from the road can tune into 87.9FM to listen to a live broadcast of the races as Dresden has set up a low frequency channel similar to drive-in movie theatres.

Post time is set for 1 p.m.
