Police: B&E’s, warrant executed, drugs, bail violations

Break and enter on Florence Road in Thamesville

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 10, 2020 between midnight and 7:30 a.m. unknown suspects entered a shed on Florence Road. 

Once inside they removed a 2013 500CC HISU side by side. 

The vehicle is blue in colour and was last seen with Ontario marker 65FW5.

Value is $10,000.

Break and enter on Victoria Road in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Between July 9 and July 10 between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m., unknown suspects entered a shed by removing a window. 

Once inside the suspects took alcohol and a rechargeable flashlight.

Value is $75.

Bail violation in Tilbury

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 11, 2020 police received a call of a disturbance in Tilbury and upon arrival a male was
located hiding in a closet. 

The man was on conditions not to be there and not to communicate with the female resident he was arrested for failing to comply with his release order. 

It was also learned that the suspect had a warrant for the exact same offences. 

The man was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was lodged and held for bail.

Warrant executed on Grand Avenue in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 11, 2020, while on an unrelated call, officers observed a Chatham man who was believed to have a warrant for two counts of assault, assault causing bodily harm and utter threats. 

The warrant was confirmed and the man was arrested, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was lodged and held for bail.   

Upon arrest police located a small amount of crystal meth and the man was charged accordingly.

Bail violation on Victoria Road in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 11, 2020 at 3:45 a.m., while on general patrol, police observed a vehicle leave an establishment with parties known to have a curfew. 

The vehicle was stopped and a male and female were in car who both had previously been released from court with curfews. 

The man and woman were arrested for failing to comply with their release orders. 

They were transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where they were later released with a future court date.
