The investigation is underway after a house fire at 161 Edgar Street in Chatham on Monday morning, July 13, 2020.
Firefighters from Station #1 in Chatham arrived at the scene at 9:25 a.m.
“Arriving on scene they were met with heavy smoke showing from the structure,” fire officials say, adding there were no injuries.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation and a Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services fire investigator is currently on scene.”
Damage is pegged at $100,000.
