Breach of sentence order

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The male youth was on conditions not to communicate with the female victim by any means including via telephone.

On August 3, the accused contacted the victim by telephone breaching one of his conditions.

The male was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

Breach of release, assault police officer and resist arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A woman, who is currently on a recognizance with conditions not to associate with a specific person, contacted police by calling 911.

Police located a male inside the residence that the woman had a non-association order with.

The woman began to resist arrest.

She bit the officer on the finger, kicked at him and attempted to grab his taser.

A 56-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with failure to comply with a release order, assault a peace officer and resist peace officer.

She is required to attend court on October 7, 2020.

Man charged after domestic

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man following an incident involving domestic violence.

On Monday, August 3 around 9:45 p.m., the man became engaged in a dispute over furniture with his former partner.

The accused prevented the victim from leaving the residence by blocking the doorway.

The victim was able to leave the residence and get to her vehicle.

The accused then stopped her from closing the door and broke the key in the ignition.

At this point, the accused took some of the victim’s property and returned to the residence.

The accused was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and was held for bail.

The 31-year-old man has been charged with:

– Fail to comply with release order x 4

– Forcible confinement x 3

– Mischief under $5,000

– Theft under $5,000

– Possession under $5,000

– Resisting a peace officer

– Assault x 4
