Rainfall warning

Heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue this morning and possibly through tonight.

Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop across the region. Breaks in the precipitation are expected in the middle of the day and then more heavy showers and thunderstorms could develop this afternoon or this evening.

Windsor airport has reported 47 millimeters of rain early this morning. Total rain amounts near 75 millimetres are expected in parts of the region by tonight. Locally higher amounts are possible due to multiple thunderstorms.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
