Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Chatham.

Sometime between August 29 at 2 p.m. and August 31 at 8 a.m., unknown suspects entered the premise that is currently under construction on Churchill Park Road.

Approximately $50 worth of copper wiring was taken and about $4,000 worth of damage was caused to the home.

Man charged with multiple driving offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon around 3 p.m. an officer on general patrol on Princess Street South in Chatham observed a vehicle on the roadway with no plates.

The officer initiated a traffic stop investigate further and learned that the man was currently prohibited to drive on a Canada wide conviction for Dangerous Drive.

As well, the man currently suspended from driving for remedial and unpaid fines in Ontario.

His vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

He was arrested and released with a future court date.

Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Chatham.

On or before August 26, unknown suspects pried open the door to gain entry into the outbuilding on Grand Avenue West.

Four large speakers were taken from the building with a total value of $4,000.

Stolen trailer

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for information regarding a stolen trailer in Chatham.

Sometime between August 30 at 1 p.m. and August 31 at 9 a.m., unknown suspects stole an enclosed 5 x 8 U-Haul trailer from a property on Queens Line.

The trailer has the U-Haul identification number of AV5329B in the upper right corner, U-Haul markings all over it and there was an attached Oregon marker with plate number FR00062.

The value of the trailer is approximately $5,000.

Theft near Thamesville

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for information regarding a theft near Thamesville.

Sometime between August 29 and August 30, unknown suspects attended a residence on Cider Mill Line and took an olive coloured 16’ fishing boat, an Evinrude outboard motor and trailer.

Break and enter in Chatham Township

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Chatham Township.

Sometime between August 29 at 5 p.m. and August 30 at 6 a.m., unknown suspects entered a barn on North River Line.

The suspects took two Mastercraft drills and four 20” Dodge Ram stock tires.

Man arrested for breach and outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 30, 2020, police responded to a business in Wallaceburg after a complaint was received about a male party being there that was on conditions not to be there.

The man was located in the parking lot and was arrested for breach and an outstanding warrant for theft and possession.

The man was transported to police headquarters and held for bail.

Break and enter in Wheatley

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Wheatley.

On August 31, sometime between 12 a.m. and 3 a.m. the suspects entered the shed on Victoria Street South and removed a yellow 2005 Suzuki RMZ 250 dirt bike.
