Speakers stolen from ‘The Pines’

Police are investigating after a theft at UCC in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers has labeled the incident as their ‘Crime of the Week.’

“Sometime during the week of August 24, 2020 unknown suspects caused approximately $250 in damages forcing their way into an outbuilding at UCC ‘The Pines’ high school,” Crime Stoppers officials said in a press release.

“Once inside the thieves removed four large speakers used for school events. The value of the theft is $4,000.”

Crime Stoppers is seeking information that can locate the stolen items and identify the persons responsible for this theft, officials say.
