Police: Naloxone administered after overdose, warrant arrests

Warrant arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: While on general patrol in Chatham, police located young offender who was wanted by the CKPS on multiple warrants for failing to comply with court conditions.

The young offender was arrested and held in cells until he could be turned over to a secure youth facility.

Warrant arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 4:30 p.m., police responded to a call that a male wanted by the CKPS was in Dresden.

Police responded to the area and located and arrested the male with multiple warrants.

The male was processed by CKPS then transported to South West Detention Centre.

Ambulance assist, overdose

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At Approximately 7 p.m., police responded to a local business in response to two males being intoxicated in the washroom.

Police attended located two males in medical distress.

One male was unresponsive and the other was incoherent.

Police administered two doses of naloxone to the unresponsive male and he regained consciousness.

Both males were transported to the emergency room by EMS for treatment.

Warrant arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: While on general patrol in Chatham, police located a male walking in the area of Queen Street.

Police knew the male to be on house arrest.

Police arrested the male and located a cellphone; the male was also on court ordered conditions not to possess a cellphone.

The male was charged with failing to comply with court orders and transported to CKPS headquarters where he was held for bail.
