Man charged with dangerous driving
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, shortly after 11 p.m. police responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was driving a car in the area of Reaume Avenue when he drove over the parking lot curb onto the yard of two people, standing in front of their unit.
They moved out of the way, resulting in the man hitting two bicycles and an ATV, causing about $500 damage.
The man drove off the grass and fled the scene.
The people recognized the driver and called police.
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. this morning, police located the man at a local convenience store in Wallaceburg and he was arrested.
The 21-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two counts failing to comply with his probation order as he is currently bound by conditions not to operate a vehicle.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Arrest leads to drug charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last month, the woman was released from court with several conditions.
Three of those conditions stated that the woman was to obey house arrest and not to possess a cell phone or illicit drugs.
Just before 7 p.m. last night, an officer on general patrol in Chatham observed the woman driving a car on Sandys Street.
The woman was not in the presence of her surety and was arrested in a nearby parking lot.
Upon being searched incident to arrest, the woman was found to be in possession of a cell phone along with suspected Fentanyl and methamphetamine.
The 29-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with three counts of failing to comply with her release conditions and two counts of drug possession.
She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Man charged with assault
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument between the couple escalated into a physical altercation.
The 59-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
He was released pending a future court date of October 15, 2020.
Man charged with failing to comply
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 23, 2020 the man was released from custody with several conditions.
One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with a specific Chatham woman.
Since his release, the woman has received several text messages from the man.
Yesterday, the 44-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and charged with seven counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.
He has been remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.
Man charged with assault
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation.
The 51-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault.
He was released pending a future court date of October 9, 2020.
Traffic complaint
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, around 3:50 p.m. a gold / tan pick-up truck was travelling northbound on Communication Road near Drury Line.
The driver of the truck passed multiple cars, when it was not safe to do so, causing other vehicles to swerve and brake sharply, due to on-coming traffic.
This erratic driving caused two vehicles to collide.
No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $2,500.
The Chatham-Kent Police is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying this driver and / or truck.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Park Avenue West in Chatham.
A Chatham woman was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 38-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to yield the right of way. Total damage was estimated at $15,000.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a three vehicle collision on Grand Avenue West near Keil Drive in Chatham.
No one was injured.

A 48-year-old Chatham man was charged with making an improper left turn.
