BIA gathering feedback on a vision for downtown Wallaceburg

What do you want downtown Wallaceburg to be like?

This is the question being asked by the Downtown Wallaceburg Business Improvement Association (BIA) in a recently launched survey.

“Currently, we are trying to create a vision, mission, and values for our organization that will help us guide our efforts in revitalization,” Downtown Wallaceburg BIA officials said on social media.

“A downtown core is ideally a place to live, work, and play so we want our vision and goals for downtown to reflect the wants and needs of local businesses, residents, and visitors.”

BIA officials are asking people to take five minutes and have their voice heard through the eight short survey questions.

“Additionally, there is an option of submitting an original work of art that you feel reflects what you think the downtown area should look like in 10 years,” BIA officials added.

Results from this public feedback survey will be processed into a report, which will be shared by the end of the year.

“We ask that all surveys are therefore submitted by the end of November,” BIA officials said, adding that all respondents’ names and emails will remain private and only be used for follow-up questions by the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA Coordinator, Kelsey Nydam.

“If you choose to be on our email list, your information will only be shared to the BIA’s board of directors,” BIA officials say.

“If you want, you can change your email preferences or withdraw your survey submission at anytime by sending us an email.”

Any questions about the survey or the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA can be emailed to wallaceburgbia@live.ca.
