Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last month, a woman threatened an employee of the property management company who oversees her apartment building upon being served an eviction notice.
Officers attended the woman’s apartment, however she locked the door and refused to exit.
A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest.
Yesterday morning, the 58-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats.
She was released pending a future court date of November 27, 2020.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, a woman wanted for a facilitating a breach in connection with a domestic related incident, attended police headquarters and turned herself in.
The 48-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged.
She was released pending a future court date of December 16, 2020.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to the report of a suspicious person in a parking lot along St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Officers located the man and through investigation learned that he was wanted for breaching his probation order.
A 22-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged.
He was released pending a future court date of October 30, 2020.
Speeding leads to stunt driving charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, an officer with the Traffic Unit observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Middle Line.
The officer recorded the man driving 135 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and the man was charged with stunt driving.
His driver’s license was seized for seven days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.
The 52-year-old Tilbury man will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on December 9, 2020.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, an officer with the Traffic Unit observed a vehicle speeding on Dawn Mills Road.
The officer recorded the man driving 134 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
A traffic was initiated and the 20-year-old Port Burwell man was charged with stunt driving.
His driver’s license was seized for seven days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.
He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on November 25, 2020.
Men charged with driving while under suspension
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police initiated a traffic stop on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, police learned that the driver was suspended from driving.
The 33-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with driving while under suspension and failing to surrender his insurance card.
He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on December 16, 2020.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a disturbance in the area of McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.
A vehicle involved in the disturbance was stopped on Semenyn Avenue.
Through investigation, police learned that the driver was suspended for unpaid fines.
The 32-year-old Chatham man was charged with driving while under suspension.
He will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on November 18, 2020.
Traffic enforcement
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, an officer on general patrol in Wallaceburg initiated a traffic stop on McNaughton Avenue.
Through investigation, the officer learned that the woman was driving with no insurance and that the license plates were not authorized for the vehicle.
The 39-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with operating a motor vehicle with no insurance, using plates not authorized for the vehicle and driving with no validation on plates.
She will be required to attend Provincial Offences Court on December 16, 2020.
Theft of truck and hockey jerseys in Ridgetown
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime Wednesday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. unknown suspects forced their way into a residence on Albert Avenue in Ridgetown.
Once inside, the suspects stole five totes containing commemorative hockey jerseys along with a Mats Sundin signed print and Sidney Crosby signed print.
Total value of the theft has been estimated at $6,800.
Last night, the homeowner’s blue 2019 Dodge Ram pick-up truck was stolen.
The truck was last seen with Ontario license plates 269 3NK.
