Police investigating collision in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning around 10:30 a.m. emergency crews responded to a three vehicle collision on St. Clair Street between Regency Drive and Pioneer Line.
A 71-year-old Chatham woman was transported to hospital with what was believed to be minor injuries, however once assessed, she was transferred to Windsor for further medical attention.
The other two drivers were not physically injured.
Total damage was estimated at $60,000.
The Traffic Unit has taken over the investigation.

Man charged with assault
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a domestic dispute at an apartment in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation.
The 23-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Collision leads to impaired driving charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 2 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a fail to remain collision on Wellington Street West near Raleigh Street in Chatham.
Officers were provided with a description of the suspect vehicle and license plate.
Officers located the registered owner of the suspect vehicle in an alley behind a residence on Grey Street.
The man denied involvement and fled into his residence.
Officers observed the suspect vehicle in the man’s backyard with visible damage as well as paint transfer from the collision.
As the vehicle was being towed, the man exited his residence and was taken into custody as the officer believed he was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
The man was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.
A 35-year-old Chatham man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit and fail to remain at the scene of a collision.
He was released pending a future court date of December 1, 2020.
His vehicle has been impounded for seven days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.
Man charged with being intoxicated in a public place
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police received information about a suspicious person sleeping in the bushes of a property on Queen Street in Chatham.
Officers located the man and he was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
The 31-year-old Blenheim man was charged and released when sober.
Man charged with break and enter
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday morning, police responded to a break and enter at Access Storage on Richmond Street in Chatham as unknown suspects entered the fenced compound and forced their way into 10 storage units.
Total damage was estimated at $230 and approximately $700 worth of items were stolen.
With the assistance of video surveillance, the man responsible was identified.
Last night, officers located the man and he was arrested.
The 18-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with 11 counts of break and enter.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Mischief to school in Pain Court
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime over the past weekend, unknown suspects broke a window at Ecole Sainte Catherine and threw paint inside a classroom.
Damage has been estimated at $200.
Unknown suspects also forced their way into a storage shed on the property last month, causing about $100 damage.

Theft of tools in Charing Cross
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime in the past month, unknown suspects entered an unlocked shed on Meadowview Avenue and stole various tools valued at approximately $700.
