Planned work on sanitary sewer improvements on the southside of Wallaceburg has been extended.
Infrastructure and Engineering Services officials say Queen Street, Gillard Street and Herbert Street in Wallaceburg will continue to be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until Friday, December 4, 2020.
The work is taking place between Queen Street from Murray Street to Herbert Street, Gillard Street from Hope Street to Herbert Street and Herbert Street from King Street to Duke Street.
“Local traffic only,” Municipal officials said in a media release.
“Emergency vehicles will have access through the work zone until the manhole replacement at Queen Street and Herbert Street… all access will be restricted at that time.”
The work had been scheduled to be completed by Friday, November 27, 2020.
There are no detours in place at the site, Infrastructure and Engineering Services officials say.
