Participate in Canada’s largest recreational reading program with ‘Forest of Reading’ kits at the Chatham-Kent Public Library.
The ‘Forest of Reading’ celebrates Canadian books, authors, illustrators and publishers, local library officials say.
It encourages a love of reading in children of all ages.
Kits containing books and activities are available for four Forest of Reading award categories:
– Blue Spruce – JK to Grade 2, picture books
– Silver Birch Fiction – Grades 3 to 6, fiction
– Silver Birch Express – Grades 3 to 4, fiction and non-fiction
– Le prix Peuplier – French picture books
Visit search.ckpl.ca and use the keywords Forest of Reading to place holds on kits.
Notifications will be sent informing you when kits are available for curbside pickup.
