OPP respond to weapons call on Delaware Nation

Chatham-Kent OPP officials allege: On February 3, 2021, at approximately 5:20 a.m., the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a weapons offence at a residence in the 14000 block of River Line, Eelunaapeewi Lahkeewiit Delaware Nation.

Officers attended together with members from the Moravian Police as well as the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine.

Police arrested an individual without incident.

The accused is facing charges of:

– Mischief – Criminal Code of Canada (C.C.)

– Possession of weapons dangerous purpose (C.C.)

– Fail to comply with undertaking (C.C.) (two counts)

– Utter Threats (C.C.)
