Woman charged with failing to comply
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 15, 2020 a woman was released from court with several conditions.
Two of those conditions stated that she was not to communicate with a specific Chatham man or attend his home.
Around 11 a.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance at the Chatham man’s home.
Through investigation, police learned that the woman had attended prior to their arrival.
The 21-year-old Chatham woman was located a short distance away, arrested and charged with failing to comply with her releaser order.
She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE)
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, officers conducted RIDE spot checks in Blenheim, Chatham and Ridgetown.
A total of 175 vehicles were stopped and two roadside tests were administered.
No one was charged with impaired driving.
Three charges were laid under the Liquor License Act and six charges from the Highway Traffic Act.
As road safety is a priority for our Police Service, we would like to remind everyone that RIDE spot checks will continue throughout the year across our community in an effort to keep all road users safe.
Collision leads to impaired driving charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 12:30 a.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision in Blenheim.
Through investigation, the officer suspected the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
A roadside test was administered and the man failed.
The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
An 18-year-old male resident of Ridgetown has been charged with impaired driving.
He was released pending a future court date of April 12th, 2021.
Executed warrants
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday morning, police located a man in Chatham who was wanted for multiple offences including operation while prohibited, dangerous operation and flight from a peace officer.
The 34-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and released pending a future court date of April 9th, 2021.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday afternoon, police located a man in Chatham who was wanted for failing to attend court.
The 28-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released pending a future court date of April 6th, 2021.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday evening, police located a man in Wallaceburg who was wanted on three outstanding warrants.
The man was located as a result of a traffic stop to which he was further charged with Highway Traffic Act offences.
The 38-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and later released pending a future court date of April 13th, 2021.
