C-K seeking feedback on dust suppressant program

Chatham-Kent Public Works is launching an online public engagement survey to seek input for potential improvements to the current level of service for the dust suppressant program.

At its November 23, 2020 meeting, Council passed a motion requesting a service level review of the Municipality’s dust suppressant program, including partnering opportunities, improving the efficiency of applications, and any required budget modifications – with the goal of improving overall service.

“Protecting citizens on our roadways is a priority, and we are committed to building a more responsive approach by listening to concerns expressed by drivers and community members,” stated Ryan Brown, director of public works, in a press release.

“I encourage the public to participate in the engagement opportunities as it allows us to collect important information and make informed decisions and recommendations.”

The survey is open until April 7 and takes less than five minutes to complete.

No online registration or personal information is required to participate.

The outcome of this feedback process will be a set of recommendations that will be presented to Council at the end of April.
