It’s a Clutch week at Verellen Farm and Auto
Symptoms:
Poor fuel mileage
Press harder to use clutch
Clutch cannot be adjusted to provide pedal freedom.
Clutch feels stiff and needs more pressure.
Gears are harder to go into place.
Engine revs RPM higher when put into motion.
Clutch makes noise(grinding)when engaging/ disengaging.
Clutch pedal feels loose or sponges or pulsates

A clutch connects and disconnects a vehicle engine from it’s transmission system.
After years of adjusting the clutch , (clutch’s should be adjusted every service) , it has come to an end . The clutch cannot be set up any further as there is no more room for travel (free play). A replacement is required. Splitting the transmission from engine to remove the clutch. It’s a very heavy and dangerous repair , whether a car or a semi, the bigger the vehicle the bigger / heavier the parts are!
Machine the flywheel making sure the flywheel surface is smooth and flat for proper alignment and function.It’s a
