Impaired, stolen vehicle

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 5:30 a.m., police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Towanda Boulevard in Harwich Township.

The 54-year-old Aylmer man had lost control and entered a ditch.

Through investigation police learned the man was impaired and operating a stolen vehicle at the time of the incident.

The male was charged with impaired driving by the Chatham-Kent Police, and then released to the OPP who took over the stolen vehicle investigation.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 2:53 p.m. a Ministry of Natural Resources officer located a stolen vehicle on New Scotland Line in Blenheim.

CKPS attended and located a 38-year-old male and a 40-year-old male inside the vehicle, who appeared be under influence of drugs.

CKPS arrested both parties for possession of stolen property.

One male was transported to CKHA for a medical assessment and released with future court date.

The other male was transported to CKPS headquarters where he was searched and found to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl.

The male was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and released with a future court date of May 20, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In the area of Baldoon Road in Chatham, at approximately 2:48 a.m., police arrested a 19-year-old Chatham woman for an outstanding assault warrant.

She was released with a future court date.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 4:47 a.m., in the area of ReaumeAvenue in Wallaceburg, police located a 35-year-old Wallaceburg man who had an outstanding warrant with CKPS.

Police arrested the male and after searching him, located an amount of suspected methamphetamine.

The male was released with a future court date for his warrant, and an additional court date for the possession of a controlled substance.
