Outstanding warrant leads to arrest
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 1:45 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021, a 55-year-old Wallaceburg man who was known to police, was observed on Duke Street in Wallaceburg.
Officers, knowing of an arrest warrant for the man, arrested him.
The Wallaceburg man was later released with a future court date.
Outstanding warrant leads to arrest
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 28-year-old Wallaceburg woman, known to police, being in the company of the man from the above mentioned incident also was known to have an outstanding arrest warrant for her.
She was arrested on the strength of the warrant and later released with a future court date.
Family dispute leads to arrest
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a family dispute at a residence in Blenheim.
Through investigation, police learned that a verbal altercation escalated to a physical altercation.
The 60-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters and lodged for a bail hearing.
Man arrested on outstanding warrant
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant for breaching his conditions.
On August 27, 2020 the accused appeared before a Justice of the Peace and entered into an Adult Probation Order with Conditions.
As well, the man was released by Police on December 30, 2020 on an Undertaking with conditions.
Police learned that on April 8, 2021 that the man had breached both orders and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On April 15, 2021, police located the man on McNaughton Avenue West, Chatham and he was taken into custody.
The 28-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
