A frost advisory has been issued across Chatham-Kent by Environment Canada.
“Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost,” forecasters say.
“Patchy frost is expected overnight and early Thursday morning due to temperatures dropping near or below the freezing mark. Freezing temperatures are possible again on Friday morning.”
Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees, Environment Canada officials say.
“Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops,” forecasters say.
