CKRec reactivates their summer programming

CKRecreation has reactivated its in-person summer programming.

The CKRecreation team is recharged and ready to roll out a full slate of programs throughout July and August, across Chatham-Kent.

Parents and caregivers will be ecstatic to learn that camps and swimming lessons, at both the indoor and outdoor pools, are now open for registration.

“We know that parents and caregivers have had a long year and are looking to find some stability in summer care and activities for their children,” said Ann Robinson, manager of recreation services, in a media release.

“While we understand that provincial guidelines may change, we are excited to plan for a return of our camp programs and summer swimming lessons at this time. By opening up registration now, we hope it allows parents the time to successfully plan their summer.”

The CKRecreation team has been working closely with CK Public Health to reopen its programs, including the implementation of new protocols to ensure public health guidelines are followed. These protocols include physical distancing measures, gathering restrictions, hand hygiene and face coverings.

The following programs are now open for registration:

– Stay-n-play camps

– Inclusive recreation camps

– Indoor and outdoor swimming lessons

How to Register:

Visit chatham-kent.ca/recreationprograms or call 519-360-1998 for more information on dates, times, locations, prices and program descriptions.

Due to cohort restrictions, spaces are limited so it is recommended to register early.

Further summer programming will be announced in the upcoming weeks via Facebook (@CKRecreation) and Instagram (@ck_recreation).
