Van Hooste, Alfonse “Alfie” a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the age of 86.
Born in Thamesville, son of the late Leontine (Van Wolvelaere) and Edmund Van Hooste.
Beloved husband of 50 years to Lois (Johnson) Van Hooste.
Loving father to Bernadette Szybala (David), Alfonse Van Hooste (Tina), and step-father to Kevin Bechard (Cheryl).
Forever missed by his grandchildren Jessica (Kevin), Samantha, Ryan (Vicki) Labelle, Alicia Van Hooste, and great-granddaughter Hope.
Survived by sister Marry Carter, and predeceased by siblings Margaret (2010), and Murray (2016).
Alfie enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, fishing and hunting.
Cremation has taken place.
A private family interment will take place at St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville.
