Six Chatham-Kent residents capture $58,000 lottery prize

A group of six from Chatham-Kent has $57,992.10 to put toward their dreams after winning a Lotto Max second prize in the April 16, 2021 draw.

The group members are: Donald Buchanan of Chatham, Amanda Legroulx of Blenheim, Jennifer Moreland of Chatham, Robert Fox of Blenheim, Ronald Nead of Chatham and Terisa Dudar of Chatham.

The group of six material department coworkers have been playing the lottery together for a few years.

“I bought this ticket on my way home from work the night before the draw,” Buchanan said in a media release.

“When I found out about the win, I waited until Monday when I went into work to share the news with the rest of the group. I sent them a screenshot of the winning amount, then told them all to look at their phones. They were thrilled.”

“It feels great – I can’t wait to win again,” he added.

No one in the group has specific plans for their winnings yet.

The winning ticket was purchased at Grand Mini Mart on Grand Avenue in Chatham.
