Terrance Forster-Sands of Walpole Island

Terrance Elmer Makoons Forster-Sands, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the age of 64.

Born in December of 1956, Terry was the beloved son of Mildred Winona ‘Nona’ (Soney) Sands and the late Harrinton ‘Duke’ Sands (1986).

Loved and cherished husband of Martin Charles Forster-Sands (Married February 27, 2021).

Loving Guardian of Zyler Kristopher Sands.

Dear brother of William Alan Harris Sands (Charlotte), Linda Kristine (Sands) Styers (Steve) and Ella Shannon (Sands) Martin (Jeff).

Uncle to Ryan Sands (Crystal), Antonio K. Sands (Laura), Marcus Luna (Nicole), Gnaajwe Styers, Priscilla Martin, Gladys Nohnah Martin, Charles Martin and the late George Moses Martin (2002) and Sean Sands (2000).

Grand uncle of Zyler Sands, Senna Sands, Shkuhnodin Myers Shognosh, Lucas Sands, Xavier Luna, Analyse Luna, Seonna George, Jayzen Kewayosh, Cruze Kewayosh, Darlyn Miskokomon, Vallee Miskokomon and the late River Sands (2019).

Stepfather of Sara Vadovic (Brandon), Robyn Forster and Caitlin Forster-Nichols (Steve).

Mishomis to Shayla Forster-Nichols, Mathew Nichols, Evelyn Nichols, Chloe Vadovic and Karissa Vadovic.

Also remembered by many cousins who are more like brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2 – 6 PM on Friday, June 25.

Visiting will continue on Saturday at Terry’s home, 209 Austin Road, Walpole Island, from 1 PM until dusk.

Masks and social distancing are mandatory.

A private family funeral will be held with interment in Highbanks Cemetery.
