Fail to remain crash leads to impaired driving charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night police responded to the area of Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg for a Fail to Remain collision.

The vehicle involved was later located at a business on McNaughton Avenue.

Through investigation the officer believed the male was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

The male was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests.

The 20-year old male of Windsor was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit as well as Failing to Stop and Prohibited Drive.

He was later released with a future court date.
