Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon police located a male wanted on an outstanding warrant at a residence on Kelly Crescent in Tilbury.

The 58-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and later released with a future court date.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night police located a male in the area of Sandys Street in Chatham who was known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Possession of Stolen Property and Trafficking the Property.

The 32-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and later released with a future court date.

Traffic stop leads to impaired charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night an officer on general patrol in Chatham initiated a traffic stop on Grand Avenue East for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

Through investigation the officer believed the Mitchell’s Bay resident was driving while impaired.

The 18-year old Mitchell’s Bay resident was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests and as a result was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

The Mitchell’s Bay resident was later released with a future court date.
