Man arrested during break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday, police responded to a break and enter in progress at a commercial location in Chatham.

A 35-year-old man had accessed a secured storage area and had been witnessed by security staff.

Several members of the Chatham-Kent Police attended the area and the man was promptly located and arrested.

The suspect was searched upon arrest and stolen property from a previously reported break and enter was located on his person.

The man was released from custody with a pending court date.

Pair arrested after threats complaint

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday, police responded to a dispute in Wallaceburg.

The complainant stated he was worried about a 25-year-old man causing him harm and the two were known to each other.

Police arrived and located the suspect in his motor vehicle.

The suspect was arrested as he had an outstanding warrant and the vehicle was searched incident to arrest.

Found in the vehicle was a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and a prohibited device.

The 23-year-old female passenger was arrested following the search of the vehicle.

The 25 year old man was further charged with possession of CDSA and possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

The 23 year old female was charged with possession of CDSA.

Man arrested for impaired operation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On 2Friday, police were dispatched to a driving complaint.

A pickup truck had been driving in a ditch before returning to the road.

An air bag in the vehicle had been deployed and the driver was continuing down the road.

A traffic stop was initiated and the 23-year-old driver was arrested for impaired operation.

The accused was taken into custody and subsequently failed his breath tests.

The man was charged with impaired operation and over 80 and given a future court date.
