Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday, the Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Management Unit, in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation, conducted a joint forces operation focusing on commercial motor vehicle operation and safety in Wallaceburg.
As a result of this blitz:
– 21 commercial motor vehicles were sent in for inspection
– 11 vehicles were taken out of service
– 1 set of license plates were seized
– 26 charges were laid in relation to this enforcement initiative
The Chatham-Kent Police would like to remind owners and drivers of commercial motor vehicles that such initiatives will continue throughout our community in an effort to keep all road users safe.
