Police: Mischief at the WISH Centre, tools stolen in Wheatley, speeding

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime over the past week, unknown suspects damaged both air conditioning units on the roof top at the WISH Centre on King Street East.

Total damage has been estimated at $27,000.

Theft of Tools in Wheatley

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, unknown suspects entered a warehouse on Eastman Avenue, causing about $100 damage.

Once inside, the suspects stole various tools valued at approximately $2,500.

Traffic Enforcement

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, members of the Traffic Unit conducted enforcement in Port Alma and Jeannette’s Creek.

12 motorists were stopped and charged with speeding.
