Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On August 20, 2021, at approximately 10:10 p.m., the Sarnia Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
The incident occurred on Tashmoo Avenue to the south of Churchill Road.
According to information received the vehicle involved was travelling southbound on Tashmoo Avenue when it struck the pedestrian who was laying on the roadway.
37-year-old Joel Burton Williams, who resides in Sarnia, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers from the Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch and Traffic Unit continue their investigation into the incident and once further information arises that information will be released.
