Special weather statement issued in Chatham-Kent

Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of thunderstorms capable of producing wind gusts up to 70 km/h and heavy rain.

This line of thunderstorms is currently located from Sarnia to Windsor and is tracking east at 100 km/h.

Hazards: 70 km/h wind gusts, 20 to 30 mm of rain and frequent lightning.

Locations impacted include:
Windsor, Sarnia, Chatham, Petrolia and Forest.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.

Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops.
