A home furnace is to blame for a residential fire at 13266 O’Neill Line outside of Ridgetown on Thursday.
“Station #11 Ridgetown responded to O’Neil line for reports of a home furnace on fire,” fire officials say.
“The fire spread quickly from the furnace room to the attic of the home.”
Fire officials say approximately $200,000 in water an fire damage was caused.
There were no injuries reported.
“As outdoor temperatures cool down, home owners are reminded to have all heating appliances serviced to ensure proper operation,” fire officials added.
