Tattoo artist charged with sexual assault

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police Service has charged a local tattoo artist with sexual assault.

Last month, a Chatham woman reported to police that:

– she had attended Loko Ink on Queen Street in Chatham

– for a scheduled tattoo appointment

– during the appointment, the man sexually assaulted her

Following an investigation, members of the Major Crime Unit arrested the man on September 6, 2021.

A 32-year-old Chatham man has been charged with assault and sexual assault.

He has been released pending a future court date of October 1, 2021.

Investigators want to ensure that there are no other victims.

A sexual assault is defined in the Criminal Code of Canada as any form of unwanted sexual contact.

It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
