Police: Impaired driving, B&E’s, theft and possession over $5,000

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 10, 2021 in the King Street East area, at approximately 3 a.m., the rear door to an apartment under renovations was forced open.

Reported stolen is $8,000 in various tools.

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 8, 2021 at approximately 9:48 a.m. an unknown male suspect gained entry through a window to a residence on Rose Beach Line.

The suspect proceeded to cause approximately $100 damage to the residence.

Property take is undetermined at this time.

Impaired

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 9, 2021 just before 6:30 p.m. a 54 year old female drove through a picnic area on Queen Street and struck parked vehicle.

There were no injuries and the female was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests.

The female provided samples three times the legal limit. 

She was charged with operation while impaired as well as Over 80.

She was released with a future court date.

Impaired

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 9, 2021 at 8:48 p.m. a 66 year old Tupperville man was involved in a single motor vehicle collision.

The male was arrested at the scene and transported to OPP Headquarters for breath tests.

The male provided samples twice the legal limit. He was charged with impaired as well as Over 80.

He was released with a future court date.

Theft and possession over $5,000

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 9, 2021 a 27 year old female and a 44 year old male, both from Mount Hope, were observed by video surveillance at a Queen Street business in Tilbury in the process of removing an ATV and riding lawnmower.

Both ran from the scene upon police arrival.

The female was located in a parking lot and arrested.

The male fled into wooded area and Canine was called and the male located in the bush.

He was unable to walk after suffering a leg injury while running in the bush and was taken to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical treatment.

Both were released with a future court date.
