FAQ’s

1. What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a natural therapeutic method based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body which are connected to other organs, parts and glands in the body. Through the application of pressure on these reflexes, reflexology therapy can relieve tension, improve circulation and support the body’s efforts to function properly. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural balance and facilitate healing.

All reflexology treatments are completed with CLOTHING ON (except for socks) and are one of the safest and non-invasive therapeutic practices.

2. What can I expect during a session?

Your first session will begin with an overview of your health history as well as an assessment of your current state where we will then come up with an individual treatment plan. Clients will either lie on the massage table or sit in a “zero gravity” chair (depending on comfort choice), covered with a blanket for warmth. You will receive a warm foot soak in essential oils to begin, then your personalized reflexology treatment, concentrating on the reflexes connected to the parts of your body which have been discussed. Following the reflexology treatment, you will be treated to a relaxing foot massage with lotion. All appointments are one hour in length.

3. How can Reflexology help me?
The body has the ability to heal itself. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, it is in a state of “imbalance” and vital body systems can be blocked, preventing the body from functioning optimally. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural balance and facilitate healing. For each person, the application and the effect of the therapy are unique. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances and by working on these points, the Reflexology Therapist can release these blockages.

4. How much does an appointment cost?
Each individual session costs $70 for an hour.
Beginning Bundles are offered at a price of $150 for 3 sessions (to be paid upfront)
Monthly Maintenance Bundles are offered at a price of $500 for 10 monthly sessions (to be paid upfront)

5. What should I wear to a Reflexology appointment?
You should wear comfortable clothing with pant legs that are easy to roll up above the ankle. (Some reflexology points are just above the ankles). Shoes and socks will be removed before the treatment begins but all other clothing stays on. You will be covered with a sheet and blanket for warmth.
