C-K launches new online subscription tool

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is making it easier than ever for residents to provide their input into the issues facing their community with a new online notification tool.

Residents who register to take part in a subscription service through the Chatham-Kent website will have notifications of new engagement opportunities delivered to their email address.

The service will also provide subscribers with notification for any of the Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent projects used to give council and municipal staff feedback on key issues.

Nearly 2,800 people have registered for Letā€™s Talk that has covered topics ranging from a master plan for the Chatham-Kent Public Library System to municipal water supply options across the community.

Amy Wilcox, Chatham-Kent Manager of Corporate Initiatives said information collected through Letā€™s Talk provides officials with valuable insight into the pulse of the community.

“We have received some very thoughtful responses on any number of issues,” she said in a press release.

“The perspective of people who take the time to give their thoughts and opinions means a lot.”
