Mayor Darrin Canniff made the announcement near the end of Monday’s, November 15, 2021 virtual Council meeting.
“Over the last several weeks as everyone knows we’ve been working hard to find the replacement for Don Shropshire, as he is retiring, and on behalf of Council I’m very happy to say that we’re hiring Thomas Kelly as the new CAO,” Canniff said.
The Mayor said the official media release is set to be issued on Tuesday morning, November 16, 2021.
Kelly was hired by Chatham-Kent back in 2012.
