Police: Road rage, crashes with deer, family dispute

Family dispute leads to breach charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police responded to the area of Dove Place in Chatham.

A man was located in the area breaching conditions of a previous release.

While officers attempted to arrest the man he resisted and momentarily fled from custody prior to being arrested.

The man is facing charges of fail to comply with release order, resist police and escape lawful
custody.

The man was released at Chatham-Kent Headquarters with a future court date of November 23, 2021.

Road rage incident leads to assault

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 8:57 p.m. a male was witnessed being assaulted by a man and woman that had gotten out of Black pick up.

These two parties then got back into their truck and fled eastbound on Grand Avenue.

Police responded to the area and could not located the suspects or truck.

The man assaulted suffered minor injuries to his face and head.

Disturbance leads to mischief charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police responded for a disturbance at the extended stay on Michener Road Chatham.

A man causing a disturbance had damaged the building at this location.

The man was arrested for mischief and brought to Chatham-Kent Headquarters.

The man was released with a future court date of December 28, 2021.

Watch for wildlife

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Over the past few weeks there have been several motor vehicle collisions involving deer.

The Chatham-Kent Police would like to remind drivers to scan ahead for wildlife and consider the potential of multiple deer if one is seen.

Do not swerve to avoid the wildlife as this may result in more serious accidents and injuries to drivers and their
passengers.
