Police: Stolen car in Wallaceburg, impaired by drug in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 3:30 p.m. yesterday, a vehicle was located, stopped on Ninth Line in Chatham.

The driver was located passed out behind the wheel. After the driver received medical attention, drug recognition tests were given and the driver was charged with operation while impaired – drugs and possession of over 30 grams of cannabis.

The 41-year-old Chatham man was later released with a future court date of December 16, 2021 to answer to the charge.

Stolen vehicle in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police attended the area of Montgomery Drive in Wallaceburg in response to a complaint of a stolen vehicle.

Through investigation it was learned that a 2005, Toyota Corolla four door, grey in colour was stolen between the hours
of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
