Queen’s Line and Merlin Road intersection safety and efficiency up for discussion

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent will be moving forward with improving the safety and efficiency of the intersection of Queen’s Line and Merlin Road in the Community of Raleigh.

An engineering consultant was retained by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to examine the intersection and evaluate the following intersection design alternatives:

– Re-construct intersection with a roundabout, or

– Re-construct intersection with eastbound and westbound left turn lanes on Queen’s Line with a traffic signal intersection control.

The public is now being invited to the Queen’s Line and Merlin Road Intersection Improvements Public Information Centre #1 to review all information regarding this intersection improvement project, including the consultant’s evaluation report outlining their analysis and recommendations.

The virtual Public Information Centre will be available for viewing on the Let’s Talk CK webpage at www.letstalkchatham-kent.ca from Thursday, December 2, 2021 to Thursday, December 23, 2021.

The opportunity to submit questions or comments will be available on the webpage.

All public comments received will help the project team and Chatham-Kent Council in the decision-making process.

If you are unable to visit the website, and would like an information package, contact them by phone at 519-360-1998 or by email at ckinfo@chatham-kent.ca.
