Chatham-Kent Police Service officials have released limited details, after an incident at Lambton-Kent Composite School in Dresden on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
“The lockdown at LKCS in Dresden has been lifted and students have been dismissed from school,” police officials posted on social media at 3:53 p.m.
“One person has been taken into custody as police continue to investigate.”
At 2:38 p.m., police officials tweeted: “Please be advised that there is a heavy police presence around LKCS in Dresden as officers investigate an incident that occurred off school property this afternoon. At this time, there is no immediate threat or danger to staff or students.”
The school or the school board have yet to release any details about the incident.
