Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for this morning across Chatham-Kent.
“Periods of light snow mixed with ice pellets or freezing rain are expected early this morning,” forecasters say.
“Slushy snowfall amounts of 2 cm and icy road conditions are expected before the mixed precipitation tapers off early this afternoon. Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.”
