Warrant arrest
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 7, 2022, Anishinabek Police Service advised they had a 30 year old Chatham man under arrest on the strength of a CKPS warrant.
The warrant was for charges including, failure to attend court and possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose.
CKPS met with Anishinabek Police Service, and released the man with a future court date.
Assault
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 7, 2022, in the area of Albert St., Wallaceburg, two men from Wallaceburg, one 35, one 34, got into a verbal argument over monies owed.
The 34 year old assaulted the 35 year old.
Police were called and the 34 year old was arrested, then released with a future court date.
Traffic stop leads to arrest
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In the early morning hours, police conducted a traffic stop in the area of St. Clair St., in Chatham.
The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested.
The 21 year old Chatham male initially lied to police about his identity.
Once transported to CKPS headquarters, police learned his real name.
It was discovered the male was on house arrest and was on conditions not to operate a motor vehicle.
The man was given a 3 day licence suspension and was additionally charged with breaching court orders, obstructing police, and driving while suspended.
Impaired motor vehicle collision
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In the area of Wilson St., Wallaceburg, police were called after a 25 year old Wallaceburg female left a party in an intoxicated state.
The female backed out of a driveway and struck another car. Police arrested the female for impairment by alcohol.
The female was transport to CKPS headquarters, charged, and released with a future court date of January 28, 2022.
