Ronald Turner

Ronald Wesley Turner of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the age of 76.

Ron is the son of the late Wesley & Elizabeth ‘Betty’ (Black) Turner.

Beloved husband of 56 years to Wilhelmina ‘Willy’ (Vandenberg).

Loving father to Kevin Turner (Edith) of Thunder Bay, Michael Turner of Thunder Bay and Tina DaSilva (Jorge) of Wallaceburg.

Proud and loving grandfather/Papa to Jessie, Travis, Michaela, Jared, Diego, Giannah and Juleena.

Brother of Bill Turner (Ann), Bonnie Turner, Linda Stacy, Robin Neely (Jon), Mike Ford and the late Raymond.

Ron will be deeply missed by the Vandenberg sisters and brothers-in-law.

Good friends of Carolyn and Ernie Johnston, Ron’s fishing buddy Larry Murdock and his many cousins and friends.

Ron was best known as “Mr. T”. He was a longtime custodian at Christ the King School and was a former employee of Libby Container.

Ron loved to hunt and fish and cruising the town in his truck and then his motorcycle scooter.

Most of all Ron loved his family. He was so proud to be a grandpa/papa that nothing meant more to Ron than his grandkids.

Family and friends are invited for visitation at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 1:30 – 2:30 PM on Friday, January 14.

A private family funeral will follow.
